Help with Vet Bills

At the RSPCA Cambridgeshire Mid East branch we understand that the cost of living has impacted everyone and no more so than if you also have a pet.

Vet bills have risen over recent years, and if you don’t have pet insurance (the RSPCA offers Pet Insurance but you should always compare different products to ensure that you have the right policy to cover your needs and that is affordable to you.). The cost of emergency treatment in particular, can run into the thousands.

If you are in our branch area (check here). The name in blue is your local branch, regardless of how near that might be to your home postcode.

Further Information

Where possible please contact us before you visit a vet and we will be able to discuss any potential support that we might be able to give. If your pet is seriously ill (an an overnight or evening emergency) ,then you should seek the vet assistance first and make calls later

If you qualify for support, then we aim to make a contribution towards the total cost of any treatment which means you will need to call other agencies or fund some of the treatment yourself.

Ask your vet if they are a member of the National Blue Cross Veterinary Scheme.

For dogs, The Dogs Trust also offers a service to support vets where their clients are unable to pay the cost of an emergency treatment.Again please speak to your vet for further information
